June 28 Mama Squirrel Protects Her Young
Dog gets his butt whupped by Mama Squirrel. For your viewing pleasure then:
Pretty great, huh? Thank you Adrian for sending me this in an e-mail. June 25 Michael Jackson; Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahonWOW! (And not in a good way.) What a horrible, strangely bizarre week, and I am flabbergasted. It is always a horrible day when we lose our stars. It is surreal feeling day today. Good bye Angels.

March 6, 1923 - June 23, 2009 ![]() I'm shocked by these deaths (Michael's anyway). I remember when Princess Diana died - I was up for 3 days glued to the television. I'm sure that there's a lenghthy medical name for this behaviour I exhibit when someone famous dies, but I don't know what it is. It is absolute shock and disbelief that these icons are gone. Maybe it is post traumatic stress syndrome? After 9/11 I was up for WEEKS before I calmed down enough to actually go to bed in my bed. I was camping out on the couch in front of the TV! I digress...
Anyway, I don't know what else to say, other than my thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families and loved ones of these icons. My current thoughts and prayers are for the ones left behind here on earth, as we have to carry on. They are in heaven. P&L, LAMS
P.S. It's not our job to judge any of these people. That's God's job.

It's the Season of Burning, Churning Yearning --
I Can FEEL it, Can't You?
Life is a
![]() Here are three of the most important things I've ever told you about how to get what you need.
(1) If you don't precisely articulate your conscious desires, your unconscious patterns will come true instead. Read that again, because that is exactly what happens. Change it (it being whatever), because only you can. (If you truly want to or not is another subject entirely.)
(2) If you want your conscious desires to trump your unconscious patterns, speak or write your conscious desires every day. (i.e., I want to paint better; I want to write a novel; I want to be a better parent; I want to be happier; you know - whatever! The sky's the limit!) (3) It's better to have three huge, soaring, potent desires than 25 puny, scrabbling, half-assed desires. So there.
"I won't dare question God why I suffer pain & anguish, because I never try to question Him when I feel happiness and fortune..." ~~ Ian Carlo Campomanes
I remain hideously occupied and busy with everyday life. The MN weather was cold and rainy this weekend so yesterday I knocked out a new watercolor just for the sheer joy of it. I wanted to paint for the fun of painting and no other reason. It is to keep myself loose and practiced. (LOL @ LOOSE AND PRACTICED.) Geesh. Also, I am feeling guilt as I make up this blog entry because I am not returning visits to people I honestly care about out there. But it is what it is (that is my new fav saying by the way). It is what it is, but that doesn't mean I don't send out MILLIONS of awesome thought vibes for a lot of really cool peeps out there in the world. I mean really. It's true. I have too much brain in my head.... I don't know what to do with it all. So I send out a million lovely vibes to you in your neighborhood. Happy vibes from me to you for a lovely week ahead. May you find peace in knowing I am loose and practiced now. Peace and Love from Lori LAMS P.S. I have been tuning into "I'm A Celebrity.... Get Me Out of Here!" I have never watched it prior to this season, but I did to specifically watch the Speidi antics (because they humor me). They have not been disappointing me in any way either. I love Spencer's dry sense of humor... I totally get it. And with that statement I am officially a humongous LOSER. But that's OK, and I digress. Anyway, Heidi was hospitalized in Costa Rico this weekend after being tortured by NBC. Evidentally she has an ulcer as a result and lawsuits will be forthcoming. Inneresting stuff... and DEFFO not cool if NBC overdid it though. May 31 A Sunday Afternoon Blog EntrySo like I'm having blog-block big time these days. I honestly think that it has to do with the beautiful weather outside. It is fantastic weather! I JUST LOVE IT!
I am enjoying summer and I am working both at my job at the store and also working on my art career. I am extremely occupied these days juggling my various activities. Three pieces of art left my house yesterday, one is leaving tomorrow and then one more is being sent in one week. Then I will be starting five new pieces. And OMG!!! I just realized that I am super-duper-pooper-busy and will be until the day I die most likely. This is a good thing because then I keep myself out of trouble and my mind is occupied on good things instead of dwelling on bad things.
And regarding my art creations: My art is slowly but surely expanding and I am not getting pooh-pahed and that is promising.
Nothing ever happens overnight -- dang-nabbit. And here's a really groovy piece of advice for you this lovely Sunday afternoon: The one constant in this world is that things change. There is order in change in that one thing leads to the next thing, and one seemingly random event can affect the course of the future. ~Author Unknown~
I am changing the course of my future just by visualizing things differently. It is amazing to watch that particular gift at work.
One more groovy quote: The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitude. ~ William James ~ Remember to enjoy the journey on the way to your final destination. And remember to smile because it is your best accessory. P & L from Lori LAMS
